Meet our Team 

We are comprised of Second City Training Center Students and Alumni, who find themselves with a lapse of employment due to the COVID-19 situation. Here's more about us, our specialties, and how to reach us to schedule a session.

Jonathan Lee- Rey

is an actor, writer, and filmmaker here in Chicago. In terms of childcare experience, I've babysat children (ages 7 and 5) and am currently a teaching associate for Playmakers Lab (formally Barrel of Monkeys) here in Chicago. Additionally, I’ve coached teens in Speech and Debate for three years (ages 13-18), was a Staff Member for J at School’s Before School Program (ages 3-6), and watched over families in the Westchester, New York area (8-12). I was CPR and AED certified in the past but not reactivated. I currently don't have a car but I do have a driver's license. I can teach creative writing and speech as well as tutor math and reading and entertain your children via charades, storytelling, sing-a-long or board games!

Andrea Rivera

is an aspiring Chicago filmmaker. In 2015-2016 she taught one year of high school Spanish at the Detroit Country Day School (Beverly Hills, MI) before moving to Chicago. She previously was a tennis instructor at Lakeshore Sport and Fitness (Chicago, IL) before leaving to pursue filmmaking full time. There she taught all ages, from 4 to 64. As a native Spanish speaker, and high performance tennis player, she has always found joy in helping others succeed. Though she decided to pursue the arts as her lifetime career, she also is also confident in her ability to tutor in Math, Sciences, and Music (as a proficient piano player). A patient teacher, she understands how to be both engaging and fun all at once.

Brandon Glover

is a writer, filmmaker from Chicago.  Before jumping into filmmaking full time.  Brandon was an aquatic instructor for the Chicago park district. Part of his job was to provide fun and effective ways to teach kids how to swim and water safety.  Brandon has a passion for English and storytelling.  All of his previous experiences have provided him the skills to be patient and engaging.

Madigan Burke

is an aspiring writer and filmmaker in Chicago. Since their teenage years Madigan has worked with, cared for and entertained kids of all ages. Madigan’s been a camp counselor, a babysitter, a responsible older cousin and a tutor. Madigan has driven for a child ride company called Zum in the Bay Area; tutored high school geometry; and worked with young kids on reading skills. Madigan loves drawing cartoons, juggling, reading  graphic novels, telling stories, math, science, playing games, teaching, and figuring out how mechanical things work.

Bridie Jurasevich

is a writer, performer (singer-songwriter, guitarist, comic, actor, improviser), and director.  She has worked as camp counselor at YMCA Camp Piomingo and volunteered as a dramaturg with The Manton Avenue Project - an after school playwriting program for elementary/middle school aged kids. She is a graduate of the Harold Ramis Film School at Second City and an award-winning screenwriter. From improving reading/writing skills to storytelling, joke writing, songwriting (we can make instruments if they don’t have any!) to coaching singing, monologues, acting/improv games, funny character stuff… I am happy to engage your kids' imagination and hone their creativity! Soccer drills are also an option, but… ya know… lamps and Lladrós and such.

Will Lupica

is a writer, cinematographer, and editor based in Chicago. He has been teaching and tutoring in math, science, and standardized tests to people aged 5 to 40 for the last 8 years. He currently works at Mathnasium, a math tutoring facility. He has a passion for inspiring creativity and curiosity for all sorts of learning styles to give each child the best possible time. He is most interested in math, board games, science, photography, or general knowledge exploration!

Roxy Adviento

is an actor, director, dancer, and writer from New York with a BA in Theatre /Dance from Middlebury College. Roxy has directed and performed numerous times, both independently and professionally, including The After-Dinner Joke (Off-Broadway) and a handful of student films for The Harold Ramis Film School (The Second City). After moving to Chicago, she worked as a dance teacher, teaching as Salsa, Swing, and Ballroom to groups and couples soon to be wed. Roxy also has experience leading groups of young people of all ages in performances and theatre trips and loves witnessing the fun things they come up with. Apart from the stage, she also likes to play games, learn new facts, write stories, and just hang out!

Lesley Hennen

is a writer, filmmaker, and publicist based in Chicago. She has experience with babysitting / nannying younger children and has also worked with ESL high school seniors to prepare their college application essays in the past. Lesley has a background in improv, and is available to help your kids work on their reading and writing skills, as well as entertain them (hopefully) with some games of virtual charades!

Kurt Jolly 

is a writer/producer/director from Florida, who relocated to Chicago to join the Harold Ramis Film School at the Second City.  When not creating his own works of fun filmed entertainment, he is also an artist and art teacher/instructor/visualizer.  He was a studio art teacher for grades k-6  for over 10 years in Florida and would love to help your child unleash their creativity while having a jolly good time. He is all about inclusive stories and letting everyone's unique voice be heard and visually seen in some form.

Jesse Rothenberg 

is a Chicago based Writer, Filmmaker, and Comedian. I used to host a monthly stand-up show at Laugh Factory Chicago and a weekly show at The Sedgwick Stop(and will continue to once those are places people are allowed to go again). As a writer, I was a semi-finalist in NBC’s Writers on the Verge program. You can see examples of my creative work at jesserothenberg.com. My childcare experience comes from working at summer camps, as well as working as a Ski/Snowboard instructor in Park City, Utah. I graduated from University of Miami in 2014 as that year's top Economics student and have experience tutoring in Economics and Math.

Jehanne Junguenet

is a cinematographer/editor/producer/writer in Chicago. Jehanne has a history of working with children. She volunteered with youth groups in high school, worked for several years as a counselor at a French language immersion camp in Minnesota for 8-18 year olds, and worked at a community center in Boston, helping direct their summer camp program. She’s the proud “Fun aunt” to two nephews and many friends' kids. She loves connecting with kids enthusiastic energy, engaging their creativity and supporting their unique selves! She likes to create films, play guitar, rugby, puns, and games.

Jamie Hasty

is a writer, children’s photographer, filmmaker, artist, and tutor who has lived in the Chicagoland area her whole life. She has taught and tutored all ages, from her time as a teacher at Rainforest Learning Center to her years of tutoring writing, language arts, ACT prep, and Spanish for Saint Xavier University and Metropolitan Family Services. As a local children’s librarian, Jamie loves engaging with children in reading and writing, but also loves volleyball, softball, and art! She is available for tutoring, engaged reading or writing time, charades, sing-a-longs, improv games, mad-libs, crafts, and board games! If you have a request, she is more than willing to accommodate (if she can)!
